Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.7, 0.76, 0.45; BamHI--2.7, 1.1; PstI--uncut; HindIII--3.7; AccI--3.7. A full length cDNA including a 34 nt GC-rich 5' non-coding region, a 507 nt coding region, and a 127 nt 3' untranslated region including a poly(A) signal 21 nt upstream of poly(A). Hybridizes to human genomic restriction fragments of the following sizes (kb): HindIII-- 6.0, 5.5, 5.2, 4.2, 2.1; EcoRI--27, 7.6, 7.0, 0.9; BamHI--32, 20. Constructed from the insert 700 bp fragment plus a 360 bp lacZ-containing sequence from lambda gt11 with polylinker on either side. |
