Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): StuI--2.9, 1.55; SmaI--3.1, 0.75, 0.6; BamHI--3.8, 0.65; PstI--3.4, 0.9, 0.2; EcoRI--2.75, 1.8. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): StuI--0.14, 1.70; PstI--0.18, 1.05; BamHI--0.61; EcoRI--1.75. Detects genomic BamHI fragments of approximately 22, 9.2, and 1.6 kb in normal mouse cells, with an extra band of 5.0 kb in LSTRA cells. Contains the complete coding sequence (nt 164-1693). A StuI digest excises the intact coding sequence. |
