Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--5.5, 4.8, 4.1, 1.5, 1.3; HindIII--11, 4.9, 1.5; PstI--6.0, 4.0, 3.3, 2.2, 1.0, <1.0; PvuII--6.1, 4.0, 3.3, 1.55, 1.35. This probe has demonstrated linkage to Huntington's disease. Insert is a SphI fragment from lambda11 containing 3.4 kb from the short arm of Charon4A and 8.7 kb from the 5' end of the clone. It lies > 5.8 kb 5' to a HindIII site at the approximate 5' end of the RAF2 pseudogene. |
